Fumble with life

This is the first tattoo I ever got; I got it done on August 13th, 2011, the day after my 18th birthday. Since I was 14 or 15 years old, I knew I wanted a tattoo, but I wanted to have one that I knew would always be special to me. At age 15, I had begun listening to a band by the name of Pierce The Veil. Little did I know they would literally both save my life, and become the thing that was and still is the most important thing to me. Pierce The Veil has, to me, broken musical boundaries that I had never seen by any other band. I listened to them every day since I was 15 until now, which I still do. I knew I wanted to get a lyric from them done for my tattoo, at age 16. I decided on the line “there’s faith in love” from the song Kissing In Cars. My father, who is my best friend, really did not approve of the fact that I wanted to get a tattoo, and neither did my stepmother. Little did my dad know that aside from this tattoo showing how important Pierce The Veil and hardcore music are to me, this tattoo also represents him, and my mother, who I lost at age 6. I believe that whenever you love someone or something, you place full faith into that one person, thing, or relationship. I have seen this demonstrated countless times by my father, who is my number one role model. This philosophy for has almost never let him down, and I strive to be that way someday. I also got it on my left forearm, something that is equally special to me; I take pride in the fact that my father and I are the only left-handed people in our family, and that created a special bond between us. Also, my dream is to become a famous musician, and my love for music has created faith in myself that I can really achieve my dreams. Long story short, I do not regret my tattoo decision at all, and will forever and always love it.
